Looking for information on my great great grandfather Henry Bates, who married Lucy Ann Bush.
They had a son Thomas Henry Bates. Trying to find any other children or records for this family.

Can you always  include dates of events please to give us an idea of a timescale.

The marriage to Lucy Ann Bush was 1864 so do you have a copy of the marriage cert showing his fathers name and occupation?

The marriage was in Edmonton but you have posted on the Leics board - is there a connection?

You can use the GRO search facility to find Bates births with mothers maiden name Bush

Marriage 4.7.1864  Chapelry of St Michael Highgate

Henry Bates 22 labourer  father James also a labourer
Lucy Ann Bush 24 father Thomas Bush deceased occ coach builder

Both were single

You need to check the 1851 census to see if Henry is with parents

Henry Bates 25 and Wife Lucy 33 and son Thomas Hy  Bates age 5 born Kentish Town are in Hinkley Leicester 1871 census.
