I don't think it was a farm as such as the area was given over to housing.
It may have been the name of the manufactory.

Sarah Allen Ayerst farmed Treadles Farm, Burstow, on the 1891 Census - gives PoB as "Kingsland London".

Archives@hackney.gov.uk will most likely have information on Margetts Preseves. It was bought my J.Lyons in 1969.

I just googled Margett's and found this link on Rootschat.

I have just been e mailed a copy of this grand old photograph of an ancestor. The only clue we have is the words

Margett's, Kingsland
404 Kingsland Road London

I attach the photo for your interest. Any idea of the date please and whether this is a different member of the Family.
