Help please for my brickwall
« on: Friday 09 August 19 14:59 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I have a Henry Smith married to Harriet Adkins in 1845 in Coventry, Warwickshire.
I know a bit about her and her family but cannot find any info on Henry Smith.
Harriet died in Redditch Worcestershire in 1860.
She was also married to a Benjamin Adkins who was from Inkberrow in Worcestershire which is why I have put this request in Worcestershire.
Can anyone help me find Henry Smith please because I do not have a clue
I'm researching both sides of my family so I'm looking for a lot of info hence a lot of names!!<br />My main interest at present is for LAWSON, Scotland   CRONK, Edenbridge Kent, Croydon.   LEIGHTON, Scotland.  BROWN Ireland and London, WARBURTON.Cheshire, Worcestershire and Canada PARTRIDGE

Do you have the marriage certificate as that should name his father.  Online images are 'damaged' and do not show that part of the certificate

There is a widowed Henry Smith in Inkberrow in 1861
RG09/2233 f94 p2

You don't mention whether Henry Smith and Harriet had any children

Hi everyone,
I have found at last some info that you have all found for me, As soon as I asked for help, it all started to fall into place.
Interesting to see that Harriet Adkins has a "S" by her name so I presume that is S for spinster, she had 3 children that I have found before she married Henry Smith, the naughty girl.
I am trying to find a link between the Smith family and the Phillips family.
I am connected by DNA to family, but with one of them, I am connected to both her parents so we are trying to find the link.
Henry and Harriet had 6 children that I have found
Thank you for your help

When did she marry him - what was her birth surname because she gives a father with the name Adkins when marrying Henry Smith.

Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

I seem to have that wrong, I thought Adkins was her married name but as I have found other info today, I realise that she must have had children before when she was a spinster

After 1845?

Who were these 3 children?  Are their births registered as Adkins.
