Hi everyone, I have just joined and looking to pass any information I can also maybe get some information for my own tree.  I am descended from the Armstrongs of St. Ninians and have traced back to John Armstrong and Marion McLay in the early 1700's. I am also descended from Murrays and Rowans from Brisgeton, Glasgow.  Any info would be much appreciated.  These names are all on my maternal side and my paternal family name is Doonan from Omagh in Northern Ireland.

Hi Maria and a warm welcome to Rootschat I hope you have as much enjoyment as I have had over the years ..I don't have any connections to any of the family you have mentioned but hopefully some one on here might and then  you can share your information and have a chat  :) :)
