Not much help but you are right that St Frideswide's Church New Osney is the local church to Barrett Street, Oxford.

If you look at it, the houses are the same now as they were then.  Very close to the River Thames in Oxford.

I have looked at google earth and seen the house, what I am thinking is that she was visiting one of her children when she died ! of the five children that survived into adult hood only my grandmother stayed in south wales the others went back to the home counties mostly London one of her sons died in 1931 in headington oxford . all new info to me ! if I knew who lived at the mentioned address maybe things could tie up .

A copy of her death cert will show who reported the death which may help clear things up

I agree with Carole that this is one occasion where an investment into the death cert may help.

Clara Jane Perkins aged 61 was buried at St Frideswide's on 10 February 1933.

You could check electoral rolls and directories to see who was living at 23 Barrett Street at the time. I don't think there are any online from that period though.

the electoral roles is what I have in mind, going down the death certificate route is the most direct and obvious route ,but with the amount of info on other perkins family search it's getting a bit expensive. how do I get at the electoral roles for this time and location.
