Just realised you have 1895, do you have a death certificate?

Hi Willsy, well I knew of a Ellen Biever/Beaver/Beever and I feel she was a 2nd marriage to John/Johann Biever, as a long time in the past I came across Ellen, she was then in a workhouse on the 1911 census, her death was around 1914? I was 99% sure Ellen was Johns 2nd wife, with your find the workhouse document re Mrs Woods step daughter and this being my Gt grandmother Hannah Sophia Beewer/Biever born 1863/4 mother Louisa Becker, known to the Woods family as Sophia Anna Woods, 1911 census 4 Eclipse road So the search is on now for Louisa`s death and the marriage of John and Ellen. Louisa and her daughters were in a workhouse around 1875? John was stated as being in prison, so Louisa must have died between 1875? and 1895?, where John would have married Ellen. well Willsy you have opened up a can of worms and looks like WE will be busy finding deaths and marriages. Its all in the name spellings? and I only have ancestryuk. thanks again for your time and help, it is much appreciated, regards Peter.

Hi Peter

AVM228 did post a marriage on the other thread, marriage to Ellen Landers Whitechapel 1882 which is online.

Am looking at both marriages but not sure what to say as I can't work out the names signed for John/Johan and the same for the first witness on his 1862 marriage...father is Mathias (apologies for my slip up)

The second marriage John as batchelor cabinet maker, father Matthew Desc., occupations the same but x by all signatures.

They are both on the website you have in the London marriages. To easily find them, use the ladies names with exact date of marriage.

A search for Ellen Biever brings up all the workhouse house records for her if you need to check all the discharge records.

I can't find anything 1881 so am a bit stumped for Louisa to be sure of when she died.
