where were they born

benjamin CLARK married Margaret MCKEE 27/10/1829 Campbletown he born about 1806 They had a daughter Ann 18/8 1830 Campbletown. next a son Benjamin about 1834( Cant find his birth but 1851 census says Argyle) abt 1834 next Margaret abt 1837( cant find)& Edward abt 1839 cant find Their mother Margaret Mckee died August 30 1851 glasgow at 7 john street where the family were 1851 census no census 1861found as a complete family 1861 cant find  Benjamin Snr/ Benjamin jnr, edward Ann has married a Thomas Scroggie  and Margaret is living with them. I cant seem to find any Argyle births can anyone help please thanks lnr

Have you tried Scotlands People?   Ann has come up immediately for me -

Ann Clark 18/8/1830 Parents - Benjamin Clark/Margaret Mckay, Campbelltown

I see what you mean now - Ann is the only one that is listed.

I used cl*rk* as surname

Re Benjamin junior he seems to be showing as having been born in Greenock in the 1861 census - address 60 Park Lane, Bridgeton,Glasgow (with 2 children Ann and Benjamin and wife Jane Murdoch). Marriage - surname transcribed as Clerk in Blantyre 1857.

This family is in Bolton in the 1871 census- Benjamin's place of birth is showing as Campbell Scotland-presumably Campbelltown.

hi
   1841 census has the familly  in james street, lanark,
and has Benjamin as born in lanarkshire,
Margaret  only listed as born Scotland.

benjamin clerk born 1804 Barony Lanark
to benjamin clerk and catherine nicolson
looks a posibilty for benjamin clark
1841 census has benjamin born in lanark
