Wedding in Babraham in 1742
« on: Friday 16 August 19 10:44 BST (UK) »
Hi All

James Ansell and Margaret Keith married in Babraham in 1742 and I am trying to find where they came from, I believe that James was born in 1719. Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards

David

FindMyPast has the baptism (transcription only) of -
John Ansell, bap. 23 Mar 1717, Cambridge, St Botolph, parents John and Mary

What's your 1719 year of birth based on?

Hi
Could margaret have been a widow?
If so is this the couple
Rowning Keith married Margaret Woodland at Babraham 5.11.1733
He was bapt 4.10.1706 s of James and Eliz Keyth.
Children Rowning and Margaret
Mary 25.8.1734
James 10.12.1735
Margaret 6.9.1737
Thomas 8.11.1739-19.11.1739
Elizabeth 28.9.1741

The possible Woodland parents are Thomas and Mary but they don't seem to have a daughter Margaret.

Hi

That is very interesting last child born1741 and Jmes and Margaret married in 1942. If I can find a death in 1741 for Rowning Keith your information will be spot on.

Kind Regards

David

An online tree has Rowling (aka Rowland) Keith dying in Ickleton in August 1759 and his wife Margaret dying there in 1788

Ancestry apparently has the will

Rowning Keath Probate Date29 Mar 1760 Residence Ickleton, Cambridgeshire
