Edward's Surname should be the same as her Maiden name!

That's correct Hallmark, and as we covered in another thread when Edward mentions his sisterMrs  Mary O 'Loughlin as his next of kin when he enlisted in the Free State army in 1922.

I was hoping that he may have been mentioned on her death notice in the media from 1942 which sometimes occurs, Edward didnt die until 1977 in Dublin, and again I was hoping that someone from the Ballyvaughan area may have made the link, as I belive that the O'Loughlin clan are still very much embedded in the Ballyvaughan and surrounding area to this day.

The problem with this is that Edward stated that Mrs Mary O'Loughlin was his next of kin in 1922, 4 years before this marriage ?...it was a very promising lead apart from that 'fly in the ointment'.
