Henry Sanders b.1808
« on: Sunday 18 August 19 12:24 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for further information relating to the baptism of Henry Sanders who I believe was born in the Congleton/Astbury area in 1808. I have found a baptism at St Peter's in Congleton on 28 Aug 1808. His parents are given as James and Mary but any information about them would be really helpful.

Do you have him on any census confirming his birthplace?  I can’t see an 1841 or 1851 entry

Who did he marry and when?

If these are the same parents as in your other post - they married in Cumberland

I believe Henry died in 1849 but I think I’ve found him on the 1841 census living in Kendal. His birth year is given as 1811. I think he might have married an Elizabeth Brooks on 4 Oct 1837 in Kendal.

The death of a Henry Sanders "... (foreman to Mr S Whineray) ..." on 10 Feb was reported in Soulsby's Ulverston Advertiser 22 Feb 1849.

There's an S. Whinerey  "... Alderman & Currier ..." on the '51 Census - on the '41 Census Henry Sanders' occpn. was "J. Currier".
