John Fletcher.
« on: Tuesday 20 August 19 10:16 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone....................I'm sorry to say i have another problem, of which i'm hoping you may be generous enough to help me with?? You have all been very considerable with me in the past, and i hope you won't over look me this time?

My problem:

My 3x Great Grandparents were John Fletcher and Margaret Jane Fletcher nee Peplow. Margaret aka as just Margaret. They married on the 15th May 1827, Wellington. Shropshire.
As a witness on this Marriage Certificate were: Joseph Fletcher and John Radan.
Margaret's parents were Samuel and Mary Peplow nee Lee.

Firstly I'm thinking that the Joseph Fletcher (witness on marriage) would be his Brother, or could even be his Father????

The first birth i have found is my 2x Great Grandmother Mary Fletcher (B)21st March 1830, Wellington, Shropshire.
The second i THINK i have found is a John Fletcher (B) 4th Jan 1835, but in Rodington, Shropshire??

After this i believe John Fletcher (sen) has died.

The next time i found Mary Fletcher was in the 1841 Census.......living with William Lewis
and Margaret by 1842 has a new marriage to Francis Beetlestone.

The things i can't seem to find is the Death of John Fletcher (sen) or trying to establish if the Joseph Fletcher (witness) is his Father or Brother?
I would clearly love to be able to go back further on the Fletcher line to try and find relatives.
I have had my D.N.A done, but as my Irish roots are so strong, there are absolutely NO connections to my Jones/Fletcher families available.

I do hope you will consider me as a project..........my best wishes to all, Cinny22

Hi Sorry team,

It's the 1841 Census for Township of Ironbridge, High Ecrel Parish?

William Lewis....40yrs Farmer.
Mary.................His wife 55yrs.
Mary Fletcher......10yrs.

I believe later William's wife Mary dies and he remarry's Mary Fletcher's grandmother, Mary Peplow nee Lee.

Margaret Fletcher (M) Francis Beedlestone on the 5 May 1842, Sutton Maddock, Shropshire.
Thanks so much for your help...........Cinny22

Can you let me know where she would have been buried, as her Father John Fletcher could, and may have been buried in the same place? It would be a good place for me to start looking.
Thanks every one, Cinny22
