help identilying regiment

on back of photo is written pangbourne either 1933 or 39
cant remember which my guess is gordon highlanders
but not certain

The headdress and cap badge certainly look like the Gordons.  Total guess is 1939

                 photo was found in an old familly suitcase and we ve no idea
who could be in the photo,
my guess is its around aldershot and they re out on excersise,
there was another photo with it written on the was sas concentration camp
somewhere or other can t lay my hands on that one atmo

Aldershot immediately pre war would make sense.  1st Battalion were there until sent to France.

You will note the webbing is the 1908 pattern equipment with 5 small ammo pouches rather than the 1937 pattern with its large ammo pouches.  1908 was still in use in 1939 so its not conclusive.

hi Alan on the back of the origional photo was wriiten pangbourne either 1933 or 39
i can t remember which and finding the origional means sifting through literally 1000s of photos
