Looks like Henry Walsh  -- Interpreter ?. Mary Adam's fathers name might be Thomas . Regards Orkrad

If you could take a snip at what you are looking at, and post it, it would make it easier for those who cannot access the link!   :D ;)

Would like to help if I could . . . . .  :)

Ditto.
It's always a good idea to post an image, or a snipping of an image, rather than a link, as there may be people who would be able to help, who cannot access the link for whatever reason.

There you go.
I think Thomas but not sure of Henry's occupation. Maybe Interpreter?

Thanks Maggie.
Can you find the other bit the OP wanted?
'Mary Adams fathers name'.
Though it's a good idea to include some of the other text to compare letter formation etc.

It's there on the snippet. I think it says Mary Adam's father was THOMAS, Occupation TURNER It's below Henry Walsh's name, whose occupation (I think) may be INTERPRETER, but unsure... I've added another snippet. Henry's son was a Tailor, so unless there's a word similar to Interpreter in the tailoring business, he didn't follow his father's profession.

Sorry, didn’t glean that was him from the first little clip!

Although it doesn’t look like ‘Thomas’ at first glance, I think you’re right.
Having seen the ‘T’ at the start of ‘Tailor’ and Turner’, it does semm to start with a capital ‘T’, then you can just about make out the rest of the letters for ‘Thomas’.

Yes, possibly ‘Interpreter’.......

I wonder if an 'Interpreter' in those days was one who interpreted patterns/drawings/sketches?  That could put him closer in work to father maybe.   Just a thought.    :-\

Just looking at old occupations and can't find Interpreter, though that is certainly what it looks like doesn't it.    :-\
