I notice that John's first son was Joseph in 1825, so possibly after his father - Joseph of Kirton?

Thank you everybody for your help.  I will have a look at the places suggested and hopefully find the right John.  David's suggestion that  John's eldest son being named Joseph, possibly after his grandfather, sounds like a good possibility.

If Holland had been written very badly on the household schedule, could the enumerator have misread it as Corbed?
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

That's very possible given that literacy wasn't brilliant at that time.  Thanks for taking the time to look and sort it out for me.

Having been brought up next door to these settlements I favour Kirton End plus in my own experience serious accent problems.

Thank you so much for your help.  It definitely seems that Kirton is the best bet.  I had to laugh about accents.  A strong accent and an enumerator who is not too brilliant at spelling doesn't make a good combination!!!  Thanks again
