DOWTY/DOUGHTY Fugglestone St Peter.
« on: Saturday 24 August 19 20:04 BST (UK) »
HI All

I have a missing family member & I have run out of ideas!

Henry Doughty/Dowty was the base born son of my Great x4 grandmother, Charlotte Dowty. He was baptised in 1819 in Fugglestone St Peter & went on to marry Sarah Mundy in 1844. He lists his step father, Francis Jeffery as his father of is marriage certificate, so naturally I have looked for him under Dowty & Jeffery, but he simply vanishes.

I have all details of his marriage & baptism, but just need help locating him.

Many thanks

Suzanne  :)

Do you mean he disappears after his marriage?  Freebmd shows surnames as Doughty and Munday on marriage entry

What was his occupation on the 1844 marriage cert?

What is the last census you have him on?  Is Sarah shown as a widow on later censuses?

Hi

Thank you, I have the marriage details. I can't find them in any census once they marry, nor any children. That is where I am stuck.

Suzanne.
