(Winifred) Joan Walker, nee Suter, formerly Kerr

Is it possible to discover the date of death of this lady who I assume has died as she was born 1908.
 
She was born Winifred Joan Suter 21 November 1908 in England but seems to have dropped the Winifred. In 1937 married Ogilvie or Ogilvy Mackenzie Kerr (name sometimes MacKenzie Kerr though his BMD records are as Kerr) but assume divorced by 1946 when he remarries and she appears on a passengers lists as Joan MacKenzie Kerr. Journey ends in Canada where she marries a Canadian army major, James Rankin Walker. A journalist and writer both here in England and Canada, she is last known to be living in Oak Bay, British Columbia.
The Canadian Writing Research Collaboratory project has a quite detailed bio of her but no idea of her date of death like all other references to her.
Can anyone help to complete her story?

Hi,

In 1991, she is living in Victoria BC.  She is the informant on her husband's death certificate.  Address is 447 Monterey Ave, Victoria BC.

Royal Oak Crematorium, Victoria is mentioned on husband's death cert.

Found her death cert on the Royal BC site as well.  She died July 27 1997 in Victoria BC.  She is listed as Joan Walker.
