I am trying to find a marriage between John Taylor born 1834 in Heptonstall  to Janet ? born 1837 between the years 1881 to 1901 at Heptonstall or Hebden Bridge West Yorkshire.

Were any children born, and if so what does the GRO index give for their mother’s maiden name?

Edit: given ages, perhaps not - had either or both been married before?

Why do think the marriage was from 1881 as John was 37 in 1881 so was he previously married?  There is an 1871 entry for a John Taylor b 1831 Heptonstall married to Priscilla.  She seems to have died in 1896

The only 1881 entry was b 1841 and unmarried living with his widowed mother Sally

I can't see an 1881, 1891 or 1901 entry matching the profile given

Is she the widowed Janet Taylor, 64 b Berwick on Tweed, in Hebden Bridge in 1901?  Mother in law to Arthur Cockroft, whose wife is Jessie b abt 1867-8 Salford or Manchester.
