Brennan Family Johnsduffwood Old Leighlin Carlow
« on: Monday 02 September 19 15:31 BST (UK) »
I am trying  to trace the above family. What I know is that in 1901 Census Timothy Brennan a 55 Farmer wife Elizabeth ne e Troy Children Patrick 22, Maggie 16, Bridget 13 Johanna 11 Elizabeth 7.
I found the marriage for Timothy & Elizabeth in Myshill. They also had a son James born 1876 who had left home by census time.
1911 Census same location Timothy wife Elizabeth son Patrick 33 Johanna 21 Elizabeth 17 all single missing is Maggie & Bridget. I did look on irish genealogy for possible marriages no result.

The son James b 1876 I know his history he was in RIC married 3 children when his wife died in 1919.One of his daughters had a faint memory of being in a convent in Wexford probably after her mother died and mention of an aunt maybe a nun. So the possibility of one of James sisters became a nun. This scenario is from the recollections of a young child after her mothers death. I would appreciate any information on the Brennan family thank you

This Search on https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp  should have found any Reg for them Marrying.

Use year ranges as needed or tick Birth or Deaths etc

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.
