Hector McFadyen b.1868 Tiree, Argyll appears from 11.5.1905 as Master of the ship Bonnie Doon (of Bristol) ON 75281. He gives his previous ship as "Same" (ie Bonnie Doon) in 1904.
Is anyone able to transcribe his entry/voyage details from any CL&A's for Bonnie Doon in 1904 ?

BONNY DOON was a excursion Paddle Steamer and would have been classed as a Home Trade vessel. As such she would have only two Crew Agreements per year. Both of her C/A's for 1904 should be with Bristol Record Office.

Have you checked Welsh Newspapers on line for the period you are interested in?

If you put "bonnie doon" (including the "  " - important) in Search field and use year slider bars to limit search to 1904-1905 it should return 32 "hits" (haven't checked if they all apply to your search).

Also try variations of name eg "bonny doon", "bonny doone" etc. which might also produce results.

The National Archives shows the list of Crew 1 January 1891 to 31 December 1891, but can't see any later ones.

This has a photograph of Hector MacFadyen his wife Emma and baby son, Ronald, abroad thepaddler steam 'Bonnie Doon' in 1911 - along with the crew - and a write up on his family and children etc.
