As Milliepede has said - the Florence Louisa Brown b 1883 died 1884 Blything.  Were you already aware of that?  If not - are you sure you are researching the right Florence?

Very relevant - 3 pages so we are in danger of duplicating the same info.

Alan

It may be better if you told us where Florence fits into your FH

Your previous post says Florence is b 1885 on the 1939 register but died 1964 shown as b 1883.

As there is no Brown death in 1964 presume she must have married?

Hi Thanks for info I was not aware Florence died 1884 Blything so that rules her out. My Florence married name Newing died  Nov.1964 age 81 which gives birth year late 1882/1883 only three births for 1883 on free BMD. If the 1896 electoral roll resident of 221 guinness buildings Lambeth sub district Kennington could be found that could point me in the right direction if anyone can help with that it would much appreciated.

She married Benjamin Newing in 1914.

Your earlier reply says she gives 1885 as her birthyear but you are using her age at death to amend that to 1882/3.  Age at death is dependant on who reported the death and what documentation or knowledge they had to support the age given

Have you bought a copy of the 1914 marriage cert to see if she names a father?

You haven't told us how Florence fits in your FH?

There are no online electoral registers for that address for 1896 as previously advised.  You will need to contact the relevant records office and ask for a lookup

Can you confirm the birthdate you have from 1939. We arenít allowed to post details and I am wondering if I have the right person.
The transcription has a different year to the one you mention and I see it differently again.  :-\

I agree with Heywood.  I also read the last digit of the birthyear differently than transcribed.   You may have been looking at the wrong 1939 entry previously

When Florence married in 1914 she said she was aged 31,  Benjamin was 32.  Her father is named as James BROWN, Clerk, deceased.  If anything she may have been older, probably not younger, unless she was just guessing herself.
