Looking for Elizabeth Ellen Pearn etc
« on: Tuesday 03 September 19 16:13 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am looking for the following:
Elizabeth Ellen Pearn nee Pearce b 1845 Looe (often known as Ellen)
Her daughter Ellen Jane Pearn b 1874 Plymouth
Her son William b 1870 Looe

EEP is on the 1881 and 1891 censuses in Plymouth with various children. I have tracked most of them and found some of them in Newport Wales, where  EEP’s husband William Pearn remarried and died in 1911. I have all the information I need on those children and offspring in Newport.

I cannot find EEP post the 1891 census or a death. I also lose her daughter Ellen and son William.
Any help would be much appreciated,

There is a William Pearn, born 1871, a sailor in Ireland?

1911 census at Carrigaline, Co. Cork with wife Hannah & 4 children.
1901 census, same place, with Hannah & 3 children

Alternatively, there is a William Pearn, born England 1869, on the 1910 US census.
Arrived in USA 1891. Died Texas 1926.
Father William
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Do Irish records show birthplace or just put England? Also US records just out country of origin too don’t they? So hard to know if either one is him. Thanks.

Update:
I have found the passport application of the Texas William, not ours sadly.

If you can find any marriage certificates they should state father's name. You have not told us Elizabeth Ellen's husband's name.

ADDED: For instance this is the birth of one of the 1901 Co Cork children to William & Hannah [found by K Garrad] showing her maiden name was Lee

Now to find the marriage of William & Hannah....

I did say that the husband remarried in Newport and he is called William .
I cannot find marriages for William or Ellen J, so I cannot go further.

I cannot acces the Irish record, but it would be useful to know the children’s names to see if there are any family names.

I have found William’s seafaring records and it is definitely him in Cork, so thanks for everyone on that.
Now I would love some help finding Ellen Jane and her mother, thanks.
