Hannah Pye born 1828 help please
« on: Thursday 12 September 19 19:12 BST (UK) »
Hannah was born 1828 in Norwich to Isaac and Sarah Pye.
She had an illegimate daughter in 1849, also Hannah.
In 1861 Hannah (1828) married Robert Eglington and had 2 sons,  Robert and George.
Robert senior died in 1870.
I have the 1871 census for Hannah and her 2 sons but then can't find her at all. I have the sons details.
I can't find a death or remarriage so any help please. Hannah is my 3rd great grandmother so would love to know what happened to her.
Many thanks.

I see from Probate Index that husband Robert Eglington is said to have died 13/8/1870 and I can't find a death entry for him either??

No I couldn't find a death for him either, I trusted probate that he was dead lol. It's all very strange.

Thank you for responses, they did run the pub but in the 1871 census Hannah is then shown as a silk weaver and then disappears!

Do you have the 1861 marriage cert?

A previous marriage to Mary Ann Burton, 25 August 1851, at Thorpe
Robert was a Carpenter. Described as Widower. Mary Ann a minor.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-6X5R-FK?i=124&cc=1416598

Is she the Mary Ann Egleton who died Norwich in March qtr 1861, age 28?
(Robert and Hannah then married in the next quarter)

Baptism of their daughter Amelia in 1854 at St Etheldreda, Norwich, Robert still a Carpenter
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-DRY3-2XV?i=766&cc=1416598

Amelia is with Hannah in 1871 as step daughter. In 1861 she seems to be with her grandparents Robert and Martha (though it says niece)

Robert himself, a possible baptism at St Margaret, Norwich, 18 Sep 1825 of Robert Egleton, son of Robert and Martha, father a Carpenter
