Patrick Neasey Roscommon
« on: Tuesday 17 September 19 12:03 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am trying to find my Great grandfather Patrick Neasey/Nasey born in Roscommon approx 1865. The only info I have is that he married in U.K. In 1888 and on his certificate it says his dad was called James.
Can anyone help me to where to go next. Thank you

These are useful sites
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/

It is free but you have to sign in and solve the ‘captcha’.

Here is a death for James Neasey in 1907

James and Kate (daughter) should be in 1901 census

That might be your James or a relative.

Hi Heywood
Yes that is the certificate I have. I know lots of names have been transcribed differently, that's what makes it confusing. On the site you looked at in 1891 is that a marriage and is it in Ireland or U.K.
Some others that have a Patrick Neasey/Neacy/ Nasey say Patrick's dad was Thomas and because I know that my certificate is the right one, I'm confused. That's why I need to find his birth.

On Family Search he is transcribed as Eary

You will know if it is him through the family,I hope.

No I can’t either nor Kate.

As you say, there are so many variations of the surname.
