Who is this Man' Mother and Father? From West Lothian.

I am looking for this man's mother and father.
All from Scotland.
Father was born about 1850 mother about 1857.

You can access his birth record from the ScotlandsPeople website www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, which is a pay per view site.  However, I had a couple of spare credits and had a look for you.

Peter Neil Hood was born on 9 Oct 1877 at 3.30pm at East Benhar, Fauldhouse. He was recorded as illegitimate and no father's name is given.  His mother is listed as Elizabeth Hood, Domestic Servant and the informant was Peter Hood, grandfather, who was present at the birth.

It looks like Elizabeth Hood was born in Bathgate, West Lothian, on 29th November 1857, daughter of Peter Hood and Mary Neil.
(Obviously where Peter junior got his middle name from).
