My late mother, like many of her generation had penpals from all over the world from the late 1930’s onwards. After going through her papers I have found photos and information about some of these penpals. I have not found anyone actively researching the above named so post the information I have in case someone in the future comes looking.
Dorothy Douglas was born in May 1906. she was 5ft 6 inches tall and had brown hair, blue eyes and olive skin. She was the eldest of four children - Nancye, Charlie and a younger brother unnamed in the notes. Her interests were collecting photos of views and quaint spoons and my mother sent her two spoons for her collection in 1947. She worked in a newsagency and married Thomas McNamara in 1943.
The address shown was 94 Holland Street, Wembley Park, Western Australia.
