Ryan roots - Roscommon

Morning everyone,

I apologise if I have posted before.  I have kept away from my family research for  while what with family crisis, my family history has taken a back seat.  I have traced many strands of my tree through the Faroe Islands to mainland Europe going back to the late 1300's and yet my Irish side I seem to have only got back to 1841?  I will try to provide as much evidence as I possibly can.


This is all I have for my  gg grandfather:

                                             Patrick Ryan
                                             DOB: 1841
                                             Roscommon

English 1861 census provides the above information.  I have a copy of a crews log on the ship AMBROSE dated 1869.  Patrick is listed as having been born Roscommon Ireleand.

He married Anne Ryan Nee Finerty they married on the 25 Jan 1863 St Patricks Liverpool

The 1891 Census her birth palce is listed as County Mayo.

I know it isnt much but it is some sort of a start and it is all i have ...
