MCkha489,
Thanks so much for that!   So it very much looks as though Anne  Roundel did indeed die before both those two sons were conceived and born, suggesting a second subsequent marriage for Cornwall Baron The plot thickens as they say...
Keith
Messages crossed in the ether, even more exciting, and explanatory.  The plot unthickens, therefore, thanks to your extremely helpful sleuthing on my behalf.  Lots more to ponder now...

Looking at the modern (road) map, there's an Atwick, south of Skipsea along the coast.  Could this possibly be the place where this wedding took place?  I know that the originals are mighty hard to read for this time in the records!  Have found Barmston successfully, further to the north along selfsame coast.  Beginning to wonder even more now whether the Roundel family name was the same as Rounding with the name and place variants in spelling in the early part of the 18thC

Mckha489,
Thanks for putting me right on that one!  I'm beginning to invent all kinds of weird and wonderful conspiracies here with this dodgy 18thC spelling as my theme. Indeed, I can now see a Catwick and even a Little Catwick, further inland and safer from that relentless sea...

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I’ve been struggling on this particular person and issue for about a year and stumbled on this thread last night. Hoping KeithSherwood or someone else could help illuminate me and add to my tree/knowledge as a direct descendant of Cornwall

Hi, The_Barron, and welcome to Rootschat!
As this thread sprang into life about two and a half years ago I need to have a look back at my notes and emails to see how far I got with everything. I was looking into the BARON family for an individual who has since married into my own family, and I was wondering whether you could PM (personally message) me on this site to continue our dialogue.   To see how you might be related to one another, for one thing.
