Mathew Sherlock
« on: Tuesday 01 October 19 00:26 BST (UK) »
Mathew Sherlock, my ancestor, was born around 1810 and was transported 1829 on the Larkin to Australia for abduction.  His sentence was reduced from death to transportation. He came from the Kilfree, County Sligo area but I have no other information on him prior to leaving Ireland except a couple of small newspaper articles about his court case. Can anyone tell me where I can search for more imformation

Thanks, I will check it out.  I have tons of information from Australia including his ticket of leave and his application to marry, etc. as well as his arrival information.  It is records from Ireland that I am hoping to find to carry his family back further in time.
