I am related to Doris Maud Hill nee Gostage. I am her niece, my father was her half brother. I cannot help with the search for your Grandfather, but can help with family details in England

Good day Forrest52.

Welcome to the best site in the world!

A search of the Victorian Births Deaths and Marriages site (https://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/) has turned up this:

Doris Maud Gostage married Rolland Jno Allen in 1931.

Robert John Hill died 1933 aged 22 months at Ouyen. Mother Doris Maud; Father Rowland John Allan Hill. I would imagine that the child was buried in Ouyen.

I've tried a search of Trove and the Public Records Office of Victoria but found nothing else.

You might try the Ouyen Local History Resource Centre at https://aumuseums.com/vic/mallee/ouyen-local-history-resource-centre They might have some more information.

I hope this helps.

Peter
