Irish burial sites please help
« on: Wednesday 02 October 19 16:32 BST (UK) »
Trying to find where 2 sisters were buried in Dublin. Elizabeth English born Feb 1888 in Terenure and died Jan 1889. Anne English born Jan 1894 and died March 1897. Both were baptised in St Joseph’s RC church in Terenure Dublin. Please help me find where they would have been buried. Their parents were Thomas and Mary English. Thanks

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Just looking at Anne's birth cert, it's quite likely her parents couldn't afford a headstone and as most sites only record headstones not burials it may not be possible to find them. Even if their parents had a headstone the girls may not have been added to it.
The site hallmark posted doesn't have compleat records yet.

It's updated fairly regularly.

I think you may be right about them not being able to afford a headstone. However I was told their mother Mary English nee Feehan was buried in the old graveyard in Whitechurch Dublin. She was my Mother’s Grandmother. We went to this graveyard a few years ago and even got hold of the burial records and she wasn’t on them. She died in 1934 so I was so disappointed that I couldn’t find her. I’ve looked for burial records of other family members hoping that it will lead me to a particular graveyard but haven’t had much luck at all. Thank you for the reply.
