Maybe a long shot but could Ann have been registered as Hannah & name shortened later  :-\

Maybe pushing it a bit but an 1855 cert. is a goldmine.

Yes, possible.

Unfortunately the IGI says the parents of that Hannah Sweeney were Michael Sweeney and Helen Digham. And the parents of Hannah Sweenie, born 1855 in East Kilbride, were Thomas Sweenie and Catherine Vance :(
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Mary McMurray Sweeney

Hi.
My 3x Gt Granny Mary McMurray marries George Sweeney presumably in Fermanagh.  They have one child Edward that I can find born in Ireland (census details) they then move to Kirkintilloch before moving to Greenock and had Patrick, Ann, Catherine, Nicholaus, Myles, John, James, Martha and finally Ann in 1867.

George dies in 1874 a widow, in Greenock registered by his daughter Mary Milloy (who I know nothing about). But I cannot find a death of Mary anywhere, it is a short window of time 1867-1874, does anyone have any ideas or can help.

Thanks
Kathy

There is a Mary Molloy, age 27, with husband Daniel & 2 children on 1871 census in Greenock. Both born Ireland.

I do not think the Sweeneys were in Greenock in 1871. George may have been living with the Molloys when he died.
