I'm trying to trace possible living relatives.  John magee married Jean Campbell 1940's they had E 1940's Liverpool s and W 1940's Bootle. I know John died 1997. Can't find Jean Campbell and her children. X

Unfortunately we are not allowed to discuss living, or potentially living persons here  :)

Best to remove their names to protect their privacy.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

You should be able to trace them initially on freebmd, I can see a possible marriage for the daughter (i have not looked for anything on the others). As Millie says you will have to go back into your post and remove the names of all those who could still be living.

I know John died 1997.

Start by getting a copy of that death certificate.

Have you not thought about putting a message in the local newspaper for the area or even contacting the magee's in the phone book ? That is what I have done in the past (phonebook)

Bootle is on Merseyside. That's Lancashire in real counties.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
