Anglican parish registers/records
« on: Tuesday 08 October 19 19:51 BST (UK) »
Please can anyone tell me if there are any plans to digitise the Anglican parish registers for Limerick (and County Cork), and make them available online, (possibly through Anc*stry), anytime soon?
I am researching the Hunt family from Limerick. (I believe that the Roman Catholic ones are now available).
Thanks,
Kit

Plans are afoot!

There are 7 on the Irish Govt Website

https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/

just put Hunt  Limerick in and hit Search....

use initials to sign in.

All free, safe website!!

Hi Hallmark,
Thanks very much for that.
Re your first reply - have you got any idea of when - even a rough idea would be great. Also, have you got any idea as where they will be able to be viewed from?
Thanks,
Kit

Same security measures.

e.g this will get you non RC Marriages as RC Reg only started 1864 plus Births/Deaths 1864+

You can even omit Limerick to get Hunt anywhere!  Just use Surname.

The vast majority of Church of Ireland records have not yet been digitised, and the library estimates that the process will likely take several years.
