Francis family

Hi,
I am trying to trace any information on the Francis family.
My grandmother was Fanny Francis who married Reginald Tooley, they lived in Salford.
Fanny's parents were William and Emma [nee Halford], they had 7 children. Williams parents were Thomas and Mary. Thomas was born in 1822 in wales, and i presume that william was aswell. Thomas had 4 children. That is all the information that i have, any help would be gratefully accepted.

Because you have given no dates i started from the begining finding the marriage for Fanny Francis 1911 in Salford ,her birth 1891 mother Halford and then her parents marriage in Manchester.

The census gives William's birthplace as  Chirbury Shropshire in 1857 on the 1891 census.Emma 29 from Bishops Castle.

Wow thank you so much, i have very little information on the francis. This has helped a great deal.
I am wondering though on the info that you have given me you have williams father as Richard, i have Thomas and Mary.
And for Emmas father i have william and roseannah. No dates for either of these.
I wondering if i have the wrong names for their parents?

On the original post you had Fanny Francis married to Reginaled Tooley which happened in 1911 at Salford.
I can't see the details of the marriage but on the 1939 index  she is born in  Dec 1890 and therefore registered Mar qtr 1891  and the birth reg gives 1891 and maiden name of mother as Halford.

You did say her parents were William and Emma Francis nee Halford so I looked for a marriage for them and found the one in 1883 at St Phillips giving his father as Richard.
There are no other Francis /Halford marriages in the area.So I would think it safe to assume it was them.

That Richard Francis (who is father of William Francis married 1883 Salford and born 1857 ) is himself  bapt Churchstoke s of Richard and Mary 8.6.1832 of Rock House labourer

Other children for Richard and Mary Francis at Chruchstoke  - William 14.12.1833,Mary 12.7.1835,Jane 19.7.1846,John 23.4.1848,Sarah 11.11.1849,Martha 14.9.1851,Harriet 29.5.1853 and Anna 13.4.1856.
Plus others on censuses .

Richard Francis born 1806 Chruchstoke and Mary 1805 see 1851 census Chruchstoke
Her maiden name is supposedly Millington but I can't spot a marriage.

Hi,
It looks like its me that is wrong.
Fanny francis married reginald Tooley on the 4th November 1911 at Ascension church lower broughton salford. On Reginald birth certificate it says Original instead of reginald as the registrar got it wrong.
As on the death certificate it says in brackets "otherwise original".
Don't know if that has anything to do with the marriage.
But obviously it was the francis family that i wanted to know about so thanks again for your help.
