Thanks - I logged in via Firefox this morning with no problem so maybe it's our local slow broadband speed playing up  :)

Probably a setting in Firefox needs changing, I just signed in to gmail with no trouble on Firefox 70 so I don't think we can blame Google . . . well, not for this  ;)

Sorry, should have said "70.0b14 (64-bit)" as I'm on the beta channel . . . which means I get the mistakes early but at least they're corrected quickly, usually  ::)

I use Gmail on FF constantly as my main browser, usually at least 10 tabs, and sometimes gmail throws a loop; usually I find when an update installation is pending.  When I restart Firefox after the update installs it works just fine.
