In the 1911 census they are in Rosroe (Cushkillary, Galway).

Patrick seems to have his own little standout reference (Tom) noted after his name ,i saw it on Michael's birth and its also on Winifred's marriage cert in 1929 to John Coyne

presume it's denoting Pat son of Tom ?


Just looking at these and I'd agree it was a 'code' to keep track of who is who.....the likes of these are Legal documents used for inheritances etc even in 200 or 300 years from now.

Their kids were born in Rosroe. They were Philip Kane ( born 1893), Martin Kane (b 1890)...........
