Looking to trace MARY GOODWIN nee ASKEW 1700's Huntingdonshire
« on: Sunday 13 October 19 16:50 BST (UK) »
Is anyone able to help with access to records for Mary Askew in Alwalton/Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire in 1700's?
Mary married John Goodwin in 1743 in Stanground.
There are many, many Askew's in the area in the 1700's and the only Mary I have been able to locate from the broadly correct period of time was born 4 May 1729, which would have made her only 14 at the time of marriage. She is possibly the right Mary, and an error in transcribing dates, or she married young.  Does anyone have information that might help confirm either way? If this is the right Mary her parents look to be Thos Askew who married Elizabeth Ellis?  Would greatly welcome assistance please. I would love to be able to get back to 1600's on the line.  Mary would have been my gggggg-grandmother, with her and 4 generations following all living in the same area of Huntingdonshire.
Thank you to anyone that is able to help me.
Jo

There is a girl baptised in Bluntisham to Thomas Askew in 1720.  The child's christian name is not recorded.
This seems much more likely a candidate than one who got married at 14.
