Soldier death in Lahore 1907
« on: Saturday 19 October 19 17:04 BST (UK) »
I have quite a bit of information about an ancestor who died of enteric fever August in 1907 in Lahore.
He was there as a soldier in the 1st Glos Infantry.
1)I would like to know what the British were doing there at that time
And
2)Does anyone know how I can find out where he was buried?

I have exhausted the obvious lines of research, has anyone had a similar problem and how did you sort it?

1907 was the time of Punjab unrest.
They were revolting against measures put in place by the British.  The revolt was crushed and some Jat soldiers were given long prison sentences.
But as was previously said the British were there anyway
