Just noticed that Rachel's father George Hough is with a Hulme family (he is father so must be a married daughter) in 1901 and the 1901 with the possible Joseph Johnson visitor had a Hulme visitor also so could be a link there.

Yes Rachel's sister Eliza married a Henry Hulme.

I've tried all sorts of creative searches but they are elusive! I can't imagine they've left the Leek area but they seemingly so not appear as a pair or independently.
