Gilbert Traill Logie born 13-5-1802 Kirkwall Orkney

Hi, my four times great grandfather is Gilbert Traill Logie, born 13-5-1802. He is my direct ancestor through my dad. I am trying to find out more about his dad who was a James Logie born 9-11-1772. His dad was Thomas Logie. I am drawing a blank on Thomas especially and would like help to find out more about these two. I have tried Scotland people but not been successful. Would it be possible to find addresses and burials? As far as I can tell all are from Kirkwall Orkney. Then Gilbert went to Edinburgh. His son , another James ( third times great grandfather) came to London to be an accountant. Hence my Logie family in London, but me wanting to know more about my Logie ancestry! I also have a Gilbert Traill Logie, 1802 born in Kirkwall married to Ann Swann or Swanny.  Gilbert was a master booksellerand lived in Edinburgh .
Is there a connection.

Margaret was born in Westray in 1804, ( Gilberts sister ) looks like you have Westray roots, Logie and Seatter are very common names in Westray

How did you come by James,s fathers name ? are you sure its Thomas
