Tracing movements of a great great aunt
« on: Sunday 27 October 19 20:53 GMT (UK) »
Any help appreciated tracing Elizabeth Clark, born 1898 in Barrow-in-Furness to John and Martha Clark. Last record I have of her is in the 1911 census at home with her parents and brother. Can't seem to find anything of her life afterwards - she probably got married but can't seem to tally any Elizabeth with the same person born in 1898 in the Barrow/Ulverston area.

Do you have her exact birthdate in 1898? If so it should make it easier to trace her later on.

If you have her birth registration you can order her birth certificate to find the birth date. You can subsequently use that to try a search on the 1939 Register.

Have you eliminated Elizabeth Clark married James Cooper at St Mark, Barrow in Furness, in 1918?
Free index to 1939 Register has a possible Elizabeth Cooper, born 1898, with James.
Death in Dec  qtr 1976, Barrow in Furness, of an Elizabeth Cooper, born 11 August 1898.

Is there a school record in Barrow for an Elizabeth Clark born 1898? Well there's one indexed anyway!
