Hi Sarah
Have you looked at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website: cwgc.org
It has an excellent searchable database and a lot of information on many of the fallen.

Rosie just beat me to it!

Was he Harry Cyril Coy born about 1894?

There is a Harry Cyril Coy in the 2nd Battalion of the Oxforshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry who sadly died on 21 October 1914 'France and Flanders'. Service number 9842. I realise this may not be him.

Residence shown as Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire = enlisted at Banbury. -- born in Wardington.

Father also Harry Coy.

Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Hi Rosie
Yes this is him!
I am just stuck now and don’t know where to go.
I would love to see a photo of him or find any living relatives that would know anything about him 😊
Thank you

Hi Sarah and welcome to Rootschat  :)

I spotted this in the Banbury Advertiser 17 December 1914, it gives his date of birth.
