Hello. James A Jones was born in Chorlton, Manchester  on 31st January 1913. Does anyone know who his parents were? His mother's original name was Davies. I know about his marriage etc. Once I can find his parents in 1911 I shall be fine!!

Andro -- you would be safer obtaining the birth certificate actually. You could get a PDF copy for £7.

The surnames of Jones and Davies are very common Welsh names - and I think you may be risking going down the wrong path without actual evidence of his parents' names.

When you say you know about his marriage -- do you at least have his father's name from that?

His marriage cert would name his father.
