AYRES another maiden name for this family... 'The Jacksons' are doing my head in  :'(


This birth and death have nothing to do with your family, this child was born in 1873.

So it might be a year out on the census, ok got it.

Emma I would say must have been an infant death... will keep looking. 

I'll have another look for John Jackson because he would have been 16/17 and maybe had left home.

By 1881 John would have been aged 17 so had probably left home and could be anywhere.  There is also a good match for him in hospital in 1881.

I don’t understand what you mean about Emma. According to your transcriptions she was in the family in both censuses, aged 9 and 19.

Emma  JACKSON 2/1   Possible Infant Death ?

This is not correct.  The daughter Emma is aged 9 in 1871 and 19 in 1881 so she is still alive.  The other Emma with them in 1871 is sister to the head of the family and her age looks like 21.  Her occupation is 'assistant'.
