Can anyone find anything on a Thomas James Mcclean?
Not much info except he was born around 1920 in monaghan and married in 1949 in Kent, England.
I also think he died in England around 1999/2000. Any info would be appreciated...

Birth Certs on IrishGenealogy only go to 1918 at present, 100 year rule.
FamilySearch has an index up to 1958 but it's possible he will appear in the index as just Thomas (also possible on birth cert) so it may be difficult to pick him out from others with the same name unless you have more info on his parents.
Registration Districts for Monaghan can be found here

You should get a copy of the 1949 marriage certificate to get his father's name and occupation. Pretty important if you want to be sure you get the correct birth.

There is a death in Birmingham in 2000 of a Thomas J McClean aged 79
UK Civil Ref 01/2000 N17B/0611N/74
DoB given as Feb 10 1920

There is a Monaghan birth in 1920
Irish Civil Ref Jan-Mar Q1 V3 P186
MMN is not given

If you get each of these certs (as well as the marriage cert as suggested) you maybe able to tie them together to the same person and follow him from there

There are one or two possibilities for his parents but without solid information to start with you could be wasting time with red herrings!
