Welcome :)

The marriage was 1970's Bury (see FreeBMD). You'll need to remove your mother's details if she is still living, in keeping with Rootschat policy on living people.

Is your father definitely deceased, and do you have any idea when? Do you know his birthdate?

Hi there

There is this death entry on the GRO index Stephen Paul Martin born 15 March 1958 registered 4th Quarter 1986 at Nottinghamshire.  You can get the death certificate from the Register Office in Nottingham or online via Southport the Government web site, but check you have the right person.
Full Certificates are £11 each.

Deceased Online web site has a cremation for Stephen Paul Martin 20 March 1986 pay to view web site. Birth entry gives mothers maiden name given as PIPES which would help you trace further back.

Got the marriage at Bury Stephen Paul Martin to Sarah Allen 1970's Bury from the GRO index as well.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nicky,

You can't view these online you'll have to purchase these. So you'll want to be pretty certain this is the correct person. Here are a couple of  links which might help.

https://www.freebmd.org.uk/     To find the correct reference numbers

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp    To order certs

Has Susan passed away?  If you have her birth date and know where she was born you could look for her birth registration to see if she was born a Susan or a Sarah.  She may have been known by both names or had a middle name she preferred to use.
