According to James and Julia's ( nee Brown) marriage certificate of 1885 Edward is shown as alive and working as a labourer.
Yes, and 1898 father listed as dead so died 1885-1898.

Thank you for that but Mary's maiden name shows as Boyland rather than Dooley so not sure if Francis is one of my ancestors

Te street census looks good but  with Edward and Mary being in their 60s they have two very young daughters
And Terence? I'll think on that one.
