Keep getting the 500 error messages, looks like it's pointless trying this weekend ::).

I think I just made it onto their high-score table.

UPDATE: Snap, Mel!

Would the rest of you sign off for a day or so, while I fully test it for you?

Same here, the 500 error message. 1901censusgate all over again. Takes me back to 2002 when the 1901 census site crashed once the census was opened.

Think of it as practice for Jan 1, 2022.

Can't even login now, ridiculous  ::):-X ! If they haven't got the server capacity, they shouldn't offer these free weekends, or perhaps have a first come first served 1 week free trial instead.

Oh yes, 1 Jan 2022, the 1921 census.

I agree about a first come first serve 1 week free trial. I was looking forward to a lot of sleuthing for the free weekend as I have not taken out a sub for a while but always have an account. Maybe I should take out another sub but have not done much FH lately.

Someone taking advantage of the free weekend offer on another thread is having no such problems! If I were the suspicious type (I am!) I'd hazard a guess that this is a set up in order to allow non subscribers to take precedence over us mugs. Probably some kind of algorithm.

I'd settled down, thought I'd give it another go, tried a search, got the 500 message three times and am now giving up again and, if FindMyPast's bosses were handy, I'd shoot the bl--dy lot of them!

Incidentally, what on earth is the meaning of this 500 - apart from deep gloom???

And, Martin, what happens on 1st Jan 2022 - do we all spontaneously combust?  :-\ If so, I think you've got your calculations wrong - I'm about to go up in a cloud of smoke any time now!!
HELP!!!

 BATHSHEBA BOOTHROYD bn c. 1802 W. Yorks.

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

I’m a subscriber and I’m not having any problems at present.

I'm not a current subscriber and I am having problems.  My latest was the truly esoteric

'upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure'
