John Hynes
« on: Saturday 09 November 19 22:35 GMT (UK) »
Would anyone have any further details of John Hynes born 1918 Offaly and died 2003 Five Ally, Birr.
I believe his wife was Margaret. I am trying to trace him back to my ancestor James Hynes born 1829 who married Catherine Brien and lived in Parsontown. Any help with this family would be most appreciated. Thank you, Chris

This is a good site to search and it is free

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

This is the marriage of those parents (hopefully of the right John)

The censuses 1901 and 1911 should also help

You have though two Hynes families to trace

Here is Ann Hynes daughter of James and Catherine. The residence is Carrigeen where John and Helena are in 1911.

I think I gave you the general link before rather than the marriage of John snr and Helena Kelly (parents of John born 1918) his father is James

John could be the son of your James.

Here is John son of James and Catherine Brien. Is he the one and the link?
