The last talk on the SGS's current syllabus will take place on Monday 18 November: “The Role of the Transatlantic Slave Trade in Funding the New Town” by Professor Sir Geoff Palmer, OBE. As usual the meeting starts at 7.00pm (for 7.30) in the Augustine United Church Centre, 41 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh. Non-members are welcome to come along for a small donation. Tea, coffee & biscuits are served afterwards.
